An aborted attempt on
Mount Geikie and an ascent of Mount Temple's Northeast Buttress
(Greenwood-Jones). We were slackers with regard to our waking and departure
time from the car and the bottom of the route: We thought we would simul-climb
the route quickly but our off the couch mental fitness level had us pitch out
quite a bit of the route due to chossy rock. Combined with a late departure, we ended up spending the night
a couple pitches from the top.
Highlights of the trip included the Greenwood-Jones, mosquitos, and lots
of friendly Canadians. Thanks for our friends and family as well as Black
Diamond Equipment for their support of my climbing ventures.
